Maybe he will be using that 7" AP once he is up and going.

I was just talking to him and that is his intention! Rolando sounded great this evening. He is very upbeat! Had a lot of pre-op work done today in anticipation of the big day a week from this Thursday. He wanted me to tell you all that he had some time to look at this thread when he got home from the hospital today and he was so very touched by the huge outpouring Of good wishes from his friends here that it brought tears to his eyes! Lets keep all the good will coming! Keep Rolando in your hearts and minds, your thought and prayers.

That is his intention. Rolando spoke of how he had had a near lifelong interest in the stars and how our wonderful hobby had sustained him through many rough times. He is very excited to be back to feeling good and at the eyepiece of his beloved Astro-Physics refractor in time for the Mars opposition.

My dear friends, thank you for your kind words and well wishes ! I have been deeply touched by what I have read here and shows me what a great group of friends I have here, it truly feels like family. Its been an agonizing 5 months and I'm weaker than ever. I scheduled to get a transplant on April 16 but with Covid crisis all surgeries were canceled. Then I had a accident and dropped my chef's knife and it made a nice gash on my lower leg. It didn't heal and turned into an ulcer. It's taken over 5 months to heal with the great help of my Wound Care Center. Worst of all has been my low blood pressure issue that it and my wound had me hospitalized for two weeks in May. I'm basically bed ridden bea cause of it and need help with my daily activities. Thank god for my amazing wife that has been at my side from day one, couldn't do it without her.

Forgive me for not posting but all these issues and deep depression I just haven't felt like talking to anyone. I appreciate your love and support and hope to be back soon!

Terra, thanks for beautiful words my love,I truly appreciate you! Thanks to all of you for your support!

So wonderful to hear from you! The knife experience sounds horrible, and I'm sorry we didn't know to send encouragement after that. We'll all be rooting for you as you go into surgery, and for a smooth and comfortable recovery. Hopefully, someone here can be a proxy to let us know how you're doing until you're feeling strong enough to post.

Best wishes,

Chip W.
