He IS at home. Talked to him yesterday, and a bit today. He's still acclimating, and his meds really wear him out. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Huge progress, for example, his creatinine keeps dropping. It's currently at 2.39. That's significant. But, then there are setbacks with pain, inability to sleep, and the resultant fatigue.

Overall, though, he's very encouraged and fighting to do his therapy daily. He said he feels stronger everyday. He said he's been receiving cards from all over and they were a HUGE encouragement. I know he will be on here asap to thank everyone, but in the meantime, he told me it all touched him deeply.

What a great group of people you all are. If anyone else needs his address, just pm me.

When he called yesterday, it was to tell me about all of the cards, and his creatinine results. He sounded strong and focused. After a few minutes of conversation, I could hear the weariness creeping back into his voice. I think it's typical and will be a fight for awhile, but every time I talk to him the duration gets longer and his voice is stronger. He also expresses his resolve each time.

He will be back soon, I think.

My dear friends, after a difficult 26 days in the hospital and rehab hospital I'm finally home as of three days ago. My transplant was one the 20% most difficult cases. I have a long way to go and currently use a walker and have a follie bag. The approx 20 pills a day are hell on my system but they are needed.

i want to thank al of you for your wonderful posts and most of all for all the cards I have received ! A true blessing at a much needed time, thank you! I won't be posting much if any but I had to get in here and let you know how much I appreciate you all!

My kidney is getting stronger and creatinine level is down to 2.39 approx 41% function. My donor is an amazing person that I met right here on CN! He is my hero!

I love ove you guys and hope to back soon!

Very thankful the transplant was successful and praying for a full recovery for you and your donor. Get some rest, grow strong, and let nature heal you. Take time out to enjoy the Autumnal Equinox.

Hii Rolo, excellent news that you are home with family. Having mobility albeit with accoutrements gives you some independence and the pleasure of gentle excercise :)  waytogo.gif To you and your donor, from Mark

Rolo, I'm so glad you are back! God bless you, and your donor.
