Hi,

I was able to fix my flats (yay!) using flat-darks  and I was finally able to take darks for the lights at the correct gain. After applying these corrected flats, I was able to eliminate the horrible gradient. The proper dark frames also reduced the noise quite a bit. So even though I mistakenly used gain 76, I think I salvaged something to keep. I'm still amazed the Ha filter can pull out this much nebulosity one night before the full Moon!

gain 76, -10 deg.C

C&C are always welcome!

Looks great John, well done!

Mighty fine detail in there, that APO rocks!

I did a 6 pane mosaic ( cygnus loop ) last tuesday night

with the smaller version APO and spent until dawn to get them done.

Unfortunately the moon made the background uneven

between the panes so it doesn't look too nice.

Stay well!

Mert
