I specially got the SONY DSC-HX400V out for this event. It cleared up for the first time in days last night, and this continued into the wee morning hours. Here's the best shot from 8-9-20 at 3:11 AM EDT. Mars is much more obvious if you click on the pic (it's a shame we can't post originals due to file size restrictions - even better there!).

Was observing Mars early this AM and the separation as viewed was not much more than my extended index finger. Mars is really putting on a great observing season now.

Doing a local stretch in Photoshop brings out Mars more clearly.
