I have a QSI6120 great camera, but very sensitive and I cant help but blow out cores of galaxies and bright spots, even sometimes with narrowband, but very rarely.

I have tried short exposures but I just thought of trying the low gain mode. the short exposures barely help at all. I can do a bunch of short exposures and its not quite as bright, but super noisy and not much of a difference at all.

I really think doing low gain mode is going to be a great solution. has anybody else tried?
