Poor seeing persisted from the previous day, but it improved greatly for Mars. I continued to focus manually due to a motor malfunction

They're still impressive Ethan - especially the rgb Mars imo: hope you get whatever's not working going soon! waytogo.gif

I concur regarding the RGB Mars - very good indeed.  I hope folks looking at the Mars images bear in mind that these were captured two months ago, when Mars was much more distant.  Comparison with Mars images captured in August would be very unfair!

Thanks Darryl and Ray! I'm working overtime to catch up on images by processing older data while capturing. Don't want to be publishing images from August 2020 in February 2021.

The motor for my MoonLite focuser turned out to be working after all. What actually broke was the serial cable connecting it to the control box. I was told that MTA has no reports of any motors breaking in the 15 years it has been sold, which I believe since it is built like a tank!

That's good to hear - I can vouch for Moonlite durability, for sure...I hammer those keys when looking for focus! waytogo.gif  I have a spare (more recent, dual port) DRO box but when I told Ron about my key action he sent me a new set of key contacts gratis! :)

Still haven't replaced them and that was several years ago now... ;)
