Any thoughts regarding this imaging system?   Thanks.

Reads a bit limited for Astro use.

7 mega pixel sensor and I assume you cannot swap it out for a higher number or simply bigger one.

Sensor is 14.4x9.9 so well below what I suspect will become the normal as in aps size. AP sensors are it seems steadily growing.

Unsure if the purpose is Astrophotography or not. They say:

SBIG STC-428-P Photometric CMOS Imaging System

The STC-428-P is designed for astronomical photometric measurements.

The question is: Is photometric measurements the same as imaging system.

My mindset is the sensor is limited, 7Mp, and no expansion.

Maybe fine for "photometric measurements" but not so I suspect for astrophotography.
