Hello

Just read that CEM70/70g do not have an RS232 port.  I have 70g on order and am wondering how to hook up SkySafari Pro 6 which is loaded on my Ipad to the mount?  My adapter is the SkyFi-USB Adapter.  I read that plugging into usb on cem70 picks it up as an rs232 port????   I have this setup on my CEM60 and all works great.  If you have either one of these mounts and are using SS let me know.  Thanks in advance

70g has built in wifi, you don't need the skyfi.

Thanks for response.  So do I just setup 70g wifi and click on SS on my Ipad?

I don't know the exact procedure, I have the GEM45 and the skyfi for it. Probably whatever worked for your cem60 and skyfi. Just connect your iPad to the cem70 wireless and it should work.

My CEM60 has the rs232 port on the mount and that is how I connect to run SS.  You say you have the skyfi,,,is it plugged into a port on your mount or do you connect elsewhere?  Maybe I am missing something in the hookup,,or over thinking it.   Just don't want a new mount (without rs232 port)  with no way of running SS or asiair pro.

Hello,,,thanks for your input,,,,it finally sank in how this all works,,,,,I thought the actual skifi adapter did more than it actually does,,,,now I realize it just creates the wifi bubble,,,,but now realize that the 70g mount does the same thing,,,,thanks again
