Yeah I know, I shoulda crammed more into this one.

 

As the last thread I just posted, three colour shots, but this time with an infrared, a UV and a combo made from those two.

 

Note that a dark spot is visible at the position of Olympus Mons in UV - so it must be poking up above some haze. Also cloud visible around the north.

Which barlow are you using with your Newt?

An unremarkable revelation astro 2.5x i think. I have a better one now actually, and should probably upgrade. However I dont think its harming my images, and my imaging train hasnt been changed in many months/years.

Beautiful shots.  For me, mars is still only visible way late/early and I am too lazy to get up in the middle of the night. Looking forward to taking a crack at it next month.

 

The UVenus filter is kind of disappointing??

Yeah its a work in progress. Its not the best way to skin that cat probably, but I have hopes for better things. And its interesting, if not visually impressive, at least to me!!
