Looks like we need a timeout for awhile so I can get rid of some junk.

Opened this back up, but there were quite a number of off topic posts including posts about moderating, which is against the TOS. In all I removed about 10 posts, so consider this a reminder/warning to stay on topic.

I messaged about that. The refractor looks interesting.

EDIT: Yeah, looks like I'm going to get 'em. The refractor almost looks too good to be homemade.... hmm.

Overpriced.  One with the rare finder scope went for $450-back in 2016.

Here is something different on GW , a 12 inch DOB by Telescopics company of La Canada California. I know nothing about Dobs & will leave evaluation to others ... Has a wooden box with multiple Ep's & lots of other goodies & tripod & mount too ... Looks good to an idiot like me , as far as I know , could be junk ... https://www.shopgood.../Item/104592779

I doubt it is 12" dob.  Most likely a 10" dob with a 12" tube.  Telescopics was around from about 1980's till the early 90's.   That does not look like their typical dob base.

Yeah , I thought the mount looked much better than the scope.

Realistically, the fork is worth the $80, you can even use it for other maks with some work, much better than the ETX 90mm fork.

AP 800 mount   $950

It's a bit long in the tooth.  I'd go with a used G11 instead, or a used Sky Watcher Pro.

It is not a "dob".   It has a homemade GEM.

that would replace charm with utility which is not what the classics forum is all about.
