Sleepers! These old American  eyepieces from the 70s and 80s are very sharp and have superb contrast

Not the most awe inspiring eyepieces like the previous examples, but they are the bino pair I have wanted to have for several years.  They are 25mm Fujiyama HD Orthos.  Actually wanted to get a pair of UO 25mm volcano tops since I was in middle school.  I hope soon to give them a pair of 18mm HD Orthos to hang out in the case with them.

they were just discontinued around the time I bought mine.  happy to see them back in production again.  BTW, the 25mm Or is a great choice for maximum field of view in a basic binoviewer without any vignetting.

Fujiyama 25mm orthos have comfy eye relief, better than Plossls & Masuyamas, pseudo or the real thing.

A pair of 24mm Brandons would be excellent.

Top hats.

Out of these,

I have just the TS in Triangle Or 5mm MC, and if you think it is really good, then I might add the Or 7mm, even if I already have the Pentax SMC O-7.

Thank you Bowlerhat for sharing the pics,

JG

I just picked up this 66° Svbony kit  ($118 delivered) to have something to play with until all my astrophotography gear arrives (see sig). I'm sure I'll be upgrading very soon. I love this thread.

I had a few of those back in the day. They were good Plossls and I wish I had held on to them.

There have been a few times I almost let them go. I even took this picture in order to sell them. But I could never bring myself to part with them and I'm glad I didn't.
