What a beautiful morning it has been! Nice, crisp air, clear and the Moon hanging in the sky just waiting to be photographed. I recently acquired a used Takahashi FS-60c and have really been having a lot of fun with it. Here is an image I took this morning just after 5:00 AM. It is the result of 75 stacked images although it probably was unnecessary to use that many. Single frames came out nice regardless. I think I just wanted to be doubly sure.

The colors seem good on my laptop, but tend to look overly brown on my Ipad. Anyway, just having fun and enjoying myself and that's what it's all about.

Thanks, I appeciate it! Here are a couple of more. The first is with the Tak 60 from a couple of mornings ago (a little too much blue around the upper rim). The second is with a Mewlon 180c. I've never had Tak scopes until very recently. Nice glass in these things.

Thanks! I just bought a binoviewer a couple of weeks ago and boy, the Moon takes on a whole other dimension with it! V/R Terry

The colours are superb, wish I could see them at the eyepiece.  I'm hoping to use my bv's this week, as I've recently bought my scope out of stasis (haven't used it since 2014).  Thanks again for sharing your pictures with us.

Since I'm posting pictures, here are a couple of more. The first one is with an old Questar 700 telephoto lens and the second one was with a TeleVue Genesis of the thin crescent Moon with Earth shine. That was another early morning shot. They are grainy because I shot in jpeg mode, but I still kind of like them. Every time I look up at the Moon I think back to the Apollo days...the excitement and mystery of it all.

Thanks! I can get some hints of color at the eyepiece, but the camera and Lightroom really reveals them much better. I was planning on setting up tonight and do an all nighter because it was supposed to be clear. But, it's cloudy. This happens frequently....
