Here are a few images of a laser vector cut on a glass microscope slide. It is target sample I made for an optical company.

You can noticed the fracturing and bubbles in the glass. It is not a etched surface as some people believe.

Visual microscope, Nikon COOL-PIX 100 ISO, eyepiece projection, 60X-240X, dark field and side lighting (LED)

CO2 Boss Laser @ 35 watts, Vector cutting,numbers are mm in height.
