So I bought a Hotech collminator for my Celestron 8SE and Hyperstar.

The HOtech mirror /Target does fit my Hyperstar, but does NOT fit my SE8 1.25" Visual back.

HOtech says that I have to get a 2" Visual back.   There is NOT a 2" Visual back that I can find for the Celestron 8SE .  The opening on the back of the scope is only 1.75"

Does anyone know what thread size adapter I need to order, or do I have to bit the bullet and buy the 1.25" Mirror /Target that HOtech sells?

I need a Visual back for the HOtech to screw onto

Thanks..

The standard SCT port size is 45mm and the C8 baffle is 37mm. But you can still stick a 2" adapter and diagonal on it to do a little better than 1.25".

I have a couple of 2" SCT adapters but my favorite is the Lumicon short path one:

Lots of people like the Baader Click-Lock:

I don't need it for visual or anything, just need to be able to screw the HOtech mirror/target in place so I can collimate it

Thank you though

Click lock as it "centres" better that the screw and band variety.

Doesn't HOTECH supply an adaptor though?
