This capture was obtained at 12:31 this morning (or tonight if you're still awake). The seeing was not that good with additional high thin clouds making things dodgy.
Mars was at 41 degrees elevation with temps in the 50's and humidity in the 90's.
I utilized my Tak Mewlon 180c and QHY462 camera and captured 5,344 frames in 3 minutes and kept the best 50% to give me some room to dampen down the noise from the gain.
Very minimal processing done at this time. Just Autostakkert and Registax. I will probably go back later in the day to see if I can improve it. I plan on getting up by 5:00 AM because there is supposed to be a break in the weather. The forecasts have been incredibly wrong this week so who knows what it will be like.
The final image was slightly upsized, cropped and converted to PNG for posting. The rim looks a bit blocky on larger screens I'm just noticing so I've also included one more close to the original size.
Thanks for having a good look!
