Very enjoyable and informative, and just playful enough to draw in folks not previously interested in 'looking up!'

Everybody knows Jack Horkheimer as the host of host of the Star Hustler which with the dawn of the internet name had to be changed to Star Gazer because Americans have filthy minds.

Some people hustle pool, some hustle cars... then there's that man you've heard about, the one that hustles stars.

And, for the reason StanFran gave, Star Hustler was a much better name than Star Gazer, after all, he was pushing those unappreciated stars, planets, etc like somebody selling those less than popular models of used cars! It was hard not to be hooked in by that awesome enthusiasm.

Thanks for the links, Kelly

It used to come on late at night when the channels had a few minutes of programming to fill. Always enjoyed them. waytogo.gif

Jack Horkheimer was quite a guy...very talented and knowledgeable on numerous subjects....the man was quite different from his Star Hustler persona in most ways. Well, other than his love of the night sky. :)

I watched star hustler all the time in the 80’s, I love Jack and the intro music.

The music was Isao Tomita's electronic interpretation of Claude Debussy's Arabesque No. 1, from his seminal electronic album "Snowflakes are Dancing". Many times after watching Star Hustler, I would be inspired to listen to more Tomita.  :)
