Two weeks ago after imaging Mars, I turned my attention towards the 19-day-old moon. After imaging some selected areas of the moon, I attached the .7X focal reducer to the rear cell then the visual back, filter wheel and camera. I proceeded to record five AVI files at a resolution of 1216X1216 pixels to cover the entire moon. After stacking and sharpening, I combined the resulting TIFF files into this mosaic in Abobe Photoshop. Each pane is a stack of 1,000 frames.
