I have a Point Grey/FLIR GS3-U3 camera, and I could not get PHD2 to detect it. I read in another thread saying that he/she got it to work using the WDM style webcam option, but I could not; PHD2 still doesn't see anything. Both Spinnaker and FlyCap2 can image the camera just fine.

So I'm thinking that if I can Windows 10 to think it's a webcam, it might work, since PHD2 detected my laptop's integrated webcam. Any idea how to do that?

Or any other solutions you can think of would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, one more question. I've also tried using Metaguide and Guidedog but neither worked. Are there any others out there?

Thanks.

Does it get listed as an ASCOM camera? Try ASCOM connections and see if it works. It fooled me a couple times with different programs.

No, Point Grey/FLIR does not support ASCOM for their cameras.

Is the camera recognized in the Device Manager?

Yes. Not only that, both FlyCap2 and SpinView can image the camera just fine.
