I just received my new Lenovo laptop with a Ryzen 7 - 3700 CPU and 12Gb RAM SSI Drive. I ran the PI benchmark, and while it is not a high end desktop, I am mostly happy with the mark, compared to the laptop that bit the dust, an ACER i3-7100 with 8Gb RAM .

A 964.41% performance increase is impressive.

However, my Alienware 17 compared to my Commodore 64 is a 149,356.21% increase in performance. (Of course, PixInsight takes 4 days to load on the 64 lol.gif)

Are you an antique collector. I wrote my first and only program on a Com 64. It was to compute precession. The program worked but then only for something like a couple of years precession because it was an 8-bit machine.
