I've spotted this news on my Facebook feed, about an upcoming harmonic equatorial mount from Sharpstar

I've been following harmonic mounts for a while now, and this is the third company to emerge with one that I know of.

 

I noticed this one has a rather large counter weight, where as the other two seem to be big on "no counterweight required"

 

I'm curious what others things

Sharpstar may not be using off the shelf full harmonic drive motors but only the harmonic principal for the gear interface to eliminate backlash and a conventional stepper motor for drive which would require a balanced mount.
