I have an Explore Scientific ED127. Seems ES sells a soft case but I don't need the room for accessories, it's very expensive for what it is and I prefer hard cases. Would anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you!

If you have a harbor freight store near you they carry a generic brand of a pelican-type case with pluck foam called Apache I think. The prices are very reasonable compared to pelican and the quality seems good to me. I actually like the latches more on my Apache case than my Pelican one. They are also waterproof like the Pelican ones. I bought one of them that's large enough to hold my binoviewer with the OCS and EPs attached and has some room for extra EPs and I wanna say it was around $40. They have larger sizes though as well. Here's a pic

And here's a link to a search for Apache on their website

That 5800 one near the bottom for $90 might be the right size for your refractor

Place a wanted Advertisement in the Classifieds?  Maybe someone has a hard 127 case they are not using.

I use Apache cases. The 5800 is not even close to big enough.... it fits eyepieces or an ETX.

The 9800 is not deep enough

Dang, I don't have much experience with refractors so your scope is probably just a lot larger than I pictured it. I know Pelican has a huge selection of sizes on their website so you might be able to find one with the right dimensions there I guess but they can get expensive.

Although pricey my TEC 140mmF7 German case found a home in the 127 FCD100
