I would build it myself of course.

As to accessories:

1) ServoCAT; and

2) A NV eyepiece.

If it had to be 24" i would have a F/5.5 made for planets. Would rather have a 20" F/6.

If $$ were no object, regardless of the telescope builder, it would be housed in an observatory with an attached warm room complete with a decent bed, on an extensive piece of unobstructed, elevated  land at least an hour from my house. The warm room would be adjacent to another room, having a coffee maker, a massive stocked fridge, and a fully equipped bar just in case of clouds rolling in .

Oh, and a vintage stereo blasting Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd.

New Moon for me. I actually do have the New Moon 36-incher in my dome and loving its performance and elegant appearance.    Tom

JP Astrocraft, assuming I could coax him out of retirement and convince him to make me one of his beautiful classic wooden dobs with enough money, since money is no object in this fantasy.

The one I bought...my 24" SpicaEye. I love it.

Now you DID NOT say if shipping and putting it together were no object - which it is because of my muscle disease. If those were no object, I would have continued to order from Rob Teeter.

With Equatorial Platforms 2 hours up the road and Tom O. offering to set it up, it was a no brainer to go with him.

My old StarMaster 24” W/ Zambuto mirror.

I know it’s in good hands in Mexico with my good friend Edger, but this was my favorite scope that provided fantastic views on many occasions over the 10 years I owned it. Carl only made 15 of these 24” mirrors for Rick and it was a pleasure to own

Move to 320 acres of inky black, stable skies.  Build a Mirror-O-Matic and patiently and methodically roll your own optics.  Then build a UL around it.

I've always wanted an Obsession scope. I know they don't make the 24" anymore so I will settle with a 22" that comes with all the bells and whistles.bow.gifwaytogo.gif

None. If money isn't an object, I'd go for a custom made 100" scope. Or buy something like Hubble. But if you insist on 24", a high orbit placed one.

Sorry, I can not resist, If I read "money not is no object" - it's always is, the amount is an objectconfused1.gif

Reduce the amount of money by making 24" do it yourself. Plus, the process is fun.

If I lived in the US with the current state of play regarding who is actually in business building dobs, Starstructure would be an easy choice. Though I would probably still look at importing an SDM.

Money no object...

I would pick up a good used 24" scope to use as a finder on my brand new 4 meter Discovery Telescope clone...

Skyvision, Starstructure, SDM are all good choices. Great price too!
