NGC 40 aka The Bow Tie Nebula... a 74" diameter PNe that has a supposed visual magnitude of 12.3, but my camera thought it was much brighter... I couldn't complete usual NB exposures due to over-saturation, and had to use lucky imaging techniques. My guess is that this object is closer to 10 visual magnitude.
C925HD at F10, ASI294MM, 19.3 mag skies, processed in Pixinsight
Red 1 hr at 4s, Ha 1 hr at 10s, O3 9 hrs at 45s, combined as RHO
The object has a strong red bipolar structure, and it sits on top of a moderate ring of O3 in the background.
Thanks for looking!
