When I really want to go minimalist it's with my Canon 10x42 IS bins. But my minimalist telescope setup is the ES102ED on a Vixen Porta II alt/az mount, using Nagler 22T4, 13mm Ethos, and 7mm DeLight for eyepieces.

ST80 or 90mm Mak on a SkyWatcher AZ5 mount on a Benro photo tripod.  I prefer my Manfrotto 475B pod for more stability, but for quick looks the Benro is ok.  15mm Orion Expanse or 25mm AT Paradigm.

I have a Stellarvue M1V which would be more minimalist, but I don't really care for friction mounts.
