Sunday night brought good seeing to my area, so I used the opportunity to image Mars again with my Celestron EdgeHD SCT, ZWO ASI290MC camera, atmospheric dispersion corrector and Antares 1.5X Barlow lens. This image is a stack of 15,000 frames out of nearly 50,000 frames in the original AVI video file which was recorded at a resolution of 400X400 pixels. Here the volcano Olympus Mons is more clearly apparent than the previous photo. After stacking in Autostakert and sharpening in the Registax wavelets, final processing was accomplished in Photoshop.

Thanks! The seeing was for once good and the fact that Mars is much higher in the skies from my area than back in 2018 helped a lot. Even the normally cloudy and rainy weather of coastal Alabama relented for the past few weeks. What I got over the past week or so is probably the best images I got of Mars so far. It's clear to me the next logical step is to adapt my 380mm Dob for planetary imaging, give the incredible photos recently posted here.
