Since we have ongoing bad weather, I have looked again at my processing, realizing I needed to back off blue & green. The ratios here are R 100% / G 70% / B 60%.

 

On one evening that was clear but with poor seeing I did manage to capture Syrtis Major. Using Samsung Magician the ASI290MM could run at close to 800 FPS, no dropped frames over a 60 sec capture. The software makes use of RAM to cache data to greatly increase the apparent speed of the SATA 3 SSD: 1,850 MB/s vs 850 MB/s. The notebook has 32 GB of RAM.
