HI  ALL!    is  someone   from  the  vintage  bino's  collectors   have   20x50  vintage?   recommend   or  have    any   brund?   I   aware  to  the  littel dimmer view   due to  50mm  objective  comparison to   60mm -70mm  objectiv.    how  much  loss    of brightness   between  2.5   exit  pupil  and  3.   exit  pupil ??    is  there is  an  chart or  formula  to   show   the   exit   pupil VS brightness ?.    and     to  the main  topic      any  recommendetions ??   for  vintage  to  add to   my  collection.

Reducing the exit pupil from 3 mm to 2.5 mm reduces the brightness by 30%.

Hi,

 

To my taste, 16x50 is as far as you can get to achieve pleasant views in 50mm format.

Beyond that, you need to consider 20x60 as the next step.

Please bear in mind, none of the top manufacturers make 20x50 binos, that says something.
