There was an extremely bright glow at the zenith I noticed about 6:30pm MST. It had a S pattern and was moving across the sky at a slow speed. It was amazing!

What did we just see at Zenith S-Pattern

I saw this tonight as well! In western Colorado, no idea what this was. Looked with my binoculars and could tell it had a star near the center. I saw it at about 645 MST. I hope someone can shed some light on this!

Yep, I would say that's what it was. Had very disctinctive S Shape and was amazing. The two most amazing astronomical events I have seen have both been man-made. The last one was the debris in July of 2016.
