I posted this as a reply in another thread but it deserves it's own thread, hopefully it will save someone $$ and help with organization.

Home Depot has the Ridgid rolling storage chest on sale for $59 - that's a heck of a deal for a ruggedized rolling cart and would make a great stow-and-go platform for hitting the field:

That is a very nice rolling storage chest. thanks for pointing me to that.

HD also has another type for the same price, with the handle parallel to the ground, so to speak. I saw it when looking at the one you linked.

this may be a nice "hint" to my kids for a holiday gift.

Yes they're great.  Also can stack and latch other RIDGID 22" boxes on top and roll the whole thing.

That is one sweet setup there, I might have to give my minions kids a hint too, I'm impossible to buy for.

I have a Ridgid case (with no wheels) for my C6 OTA and love it. A larger one on wheels would be great.

I have the Ridgid 3 box  setup shown above and can recommend it.   I also have the open top basket which is great for just tossing a few loose items too, and it will Also lock down to the dolly setup.

Great rig.  If anyone needs dimensions or anything , just let me know.

Have the same set up. The basket is nice and handy. Just full of tools though, no scopes. But I have thought that my 9.25 would probably just fit well padded. For that sale price may just grab another one.
They are a well made/designed set of boxes.

I have the same boxes. The C8 fits in the roller toolbox. For the top toolbox there is one with compartments which is handy for cables, eyepieces, etc.

There’s also this one at Walmart

It's what I use to haul my EdgeHD 14.

These large roller tool boxes seem to be a very good match for "stout" OTAs like SCTs, as I do. I'm guessing most people are not using them for refractors.

Not big enough for my load.

I don't want to disassemble my telescope.

YMMV
