It's been cloudy here Ron. Maybe that explains it. I gotta admit though, it is pretty creative. Now John, if you put that whole thing on a parallelogram I will be impressed.

Just reviewing the picture. Looks like the solar scope may have an issue as it rotates thru the forks. You got clearance there or do you have to be carefull which way you turn things? Do you have to do a wax on - wax off so nothing gets scratched?

That's all we need now, Canadian Kung-fu Binoviewing Black Fly Roasts. With real Canadian Bacon (oops! Back Bacon).

Everything rotates through the forks no problem. Not planned..just coinsidence. It really wasn't meant to hold both scopes at the same time, but it does, and removes all the balancing issues at the same time.

Like Pat said...it's been cloudy here lately and nothing to do but chores. Can't have that so I've been holed up in the "Skunkworks"

I remember cabin fever. When we visited the islands we learned about island fever (similar malady: And they have the gall to get maladies in Paradise) and they have to get off the island. Most go to Las Vegas of all places.

A comment Tom T. made in an email kinda put a perspective on the solar scope addition you made. This time of year, for our Northern brothers and sisters, the sun is below the horizon about a hour each day, if that. Kinda kills it for starry astronomy.

So you could say you have a seasonal mount there. Summer/Winter instead of sun/stars or Day/Night. It's 8:15 and totally dark here in the Valley of the Sun (kinda of a mis-nomer in this new light wouldn't you say?).

It's too bad your summer outfit looks like your winter outfit. At least I get a few days where I can wear my Hawaiian shirt.
