I saw in another post that someone with an XX14g said that they are doing a three star alignment.  I have the XX12g with the V5 hand controller and the latest firmware yet there is no three star option.  There is with the Synscan Pro app however.

 

Does anyone have the three star option with their hand controller?

 

Is anyone doing the three star via the app?  If so, do you find it any more accurate than with the two star method?

If the SynScan hand controller senses it is an AltAz mount, it does not offer/allow the 3-star alignment.  But maybe there's a way to get it to not know?
