I recently purchased a ASCOM controller from Astromechanics. Also picked up a Canon EF200L USM lens which I paired to my ASI071MC. I was able to do a test this evening on M31 to see how well this was going to work for wide field imaging. I have to say quite impressed with the ASCOM focuser/lens controller. In NINA I had quite a good autofocus curve. The lens is not too bad either. If any of you out there are looking for wider field imaging and want to put some glass you have for your regular photography equipment this may be a win for you.
62 x 120 sec (~2 hrs)
EF 200L stopped down to 58mm ~f3.3
ASI071MC pro 0C, 0 gain, 25 offset
Update: Added a link to the uncompressed file. Compressing/rescaling it to 1/50th it's original size really makes the stars look bad.
