Hello from Germany,

I have found an supplier, who will deliver the new capacitors for the LX200 classic.

He states:
Set of 5 electrolytic capacitors to replace 5 original 25V tantalum capacitors. The capacitors are 6.8 uF, rated at 50V. Includes brief instructions.

Is it fact, that all of the capacitors to exchange have the same capacity of 6.8 uF??

Thanks for advice

Guido

I'm not familiar with that scope or the problems - but I did find this thread on the issue:

changing them with 10 Uf  50vdc capacitors is fine.  They are filtering caps and not used for any timing circuits.   The 6.8 Uf would also work.    Look on Ebay and see what they go for.  Most likely much cheaper than any kit someone will offer.

here are 50 of them rated for 100 volts which is great for only $8

Sounds like the clearline-tech.com replacement kit.  I ordered those and some board replacements.  Everything worked as advertised without any problems.

The future for LX200 electronics support appears to be very good with this company.
