First time post from a long time lurker. (Well since around May) I'm pretty new to Astrophotography. I took my first image of the sky with my phone on May 12th, during lockdown, while having a late night beer in the garden and got hooked. Something that has always interested me but I'd never been in a financial position to try, until now, so I thought I'd take up a new hobby.
Fast forward 6 months and my current set up is a Skywatcher 130PDs on a HEQ5 Pro with Rowan Belt Mod. Canon EOS 60Da, Baader MPCC III and Astronomik CLS Filter. Orion 50mm Guide Cam and Orion Star Shoot Auto Guider. I use APT for imaging and plate solving and PHD2 for guiding. (I did have the EQ3 Pro for 5 months but outgrew that and it's limitations.)
After all the reading, watching tutorials and learning everything that I have so far, I'm up to this image. My best yet. Hope you like it. Comments welcomed.
