I thought I'd start a thread for people to list any Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.

Personally, I'm interested in some Explore Scientific eyepieces in the 82° fov range.

Let's have them.

Check out the Maxvision line...they're basically unpurged ES 82s.

Agena Astro says they will announce their Thanksgiving sale on QHY, ZWO and Baader Planetarium products tomorrow (Nov 27).

So I messed up. I saw that Agena Astro had a small number of the long-awaited ASI2600MC-Pro cameras in stock. So I quickly placed an order at the stated price and was glad to do so.

Got an email this morning. I missed their Black Friday Sale (I was clueless about this) by a few hours. So they are discounting my price $200 and refunding that amount paid. This is after I already paid.

Agena Astro has always impressed me on customer service and delivery, but this was unexpected.  They are clearly a class act.

I see that ZWO has a number of cameras on sale either directly or through their dealers, but the sale is selective and not across the board on all their cameras. Great if you are looking for one of those cameras on sale though.

Both of the highly popular full frame mono cameras are on sale. The QHY600 and ASI6200.

The ASI533MC, a very popular OSC, is on sale.

Vixen has some sales. I picked up an eyepiece and a pair of binoculars at a very good price today.

I also was interested in ES 82, the 2" 30mm. Unfortunately is out of stock everywhere. It seems there is an issue with many things coming from china with great demand. That's why most deals are cams and binoculars. Sounds like a grey friday to me.

Cheers,

Even throughout the Black Friday-to-Cyber Monday period, the price of the Nikon D5600 with just one kit lens (18-55m) has remained at about $700 US (several sources). Last year a similar deal that also included the quite good 70-300mm Nikon kit lens was as low as $595. I don't know why the price didn't come down but ... 'makes some of the AP-dedicated Zwo cameras look more and more appealing.

Happy observing always,

Don

I didn't realize, but the ZWO holiday sale runs from Nov 27 to Dec 31 according to AgenaAstro.

Has anyone seen TeleVue 2inch 4x powermates in stock anywhere in the US? Trying to get my hands on one and having just missed on sold here in the forum, who knows when another used one pops up.

Try a "Wanted Ad" but don't expect the normal used pricing.

Thanks! Did that. Makes sense about the pricing, on the other hand, any savings over buying new+tax is welcome.
