After months of reading about telescopes I finally have one coming this week.
A telescope I dreamed about since I was a kid with a 4" refractor.
When the Apertura AD10 possible arrival date was pushed back again to mid January, I gave up and bought the SkyLine.
Bums me out that Saturn and Jupiter aren't in great positions now. All summer they were right there, easy to see.
But I'm looking forward to the winter sky with Orion in its prime. My favorite area to view in 1967.

The AD10 and the Skyline 10 are the same scope with different labels.

You can work with tips for Skyline, Apertura AD or Zhumell Z series scopes.  All the same.

For $100 you can add a PushTo feature to it that is similar to the Orion Intelliscope.

EZ Push To from Romer-Optics
A retro fit PushTo package is available from Romer-Optics called the EZ Push
To – there is an extensive discussion about this on Cloudy Nights.
This is based on using your phone as the computer/controller – About $100

I have the Apertura AD12, next size up.   Great scope.  You will enjoy yours.

Congratulations and Very nice! I've been on the lookout for something used in that size or 8". And I haven't found much, and what I have has been going quick. Was it available when you ordered it?

Congrats, I also got the 10" Skyline, Orion seems to be the only ones to have it in stock.  No BF sale :(

Wow, I didn't know that Orion was now selling GSO made scopes(Zhumell, Apertura). Yes those are great. The focuser and alt/az motions are better than the Orion XT's(Synta) IMO. Good choice. Enjoy!
