A reprocess of my Double Cluster image.

This is the first image that I did, 177 x 30"

This is the second image at 243 x 20" and less aggressive stretching:

 

JPG compression kills it, but I think the second image looks better. This is a learning process thing...

The stars are smaller in second version but somehow I like the first version better.

Normally I am all for smaller/less stars, if the nebulosity is the main subject.

In this case, I, too, prefer the first version.

Alright, not the results I was expecting, but it's nice to have some feedback between the two images. I guess the bigger/brighter starfield (when stars alone) is more pleasing to look at.
