I need help determining the amount of back focus I need. I've done a ton of research online and nothing has really helped me understand.

 

I have an Explore Scientific 127 ED APO with a Moonlite focuser on it. A Televue 2x Powermate and a ZWO ASI462 planetary camera. Will I be able to achieve focus with what I have or will I need to add spacers between the powermate and the camera?

 

This is my first time delving into imaging so I'm a complete nube. Any help I can get will be much appreciated.

No need for additional spacing between the Powermate & the camera.

What about in front of the powermate? The camera has 12.5mm of back focus distance but I don't understand where that fits in. I'm completely confused.
