Edmund 8" Fork Mount, $899. Price may be why it hasn't sold as its been up at least a couple of months.

Not gonna happen. Never wanted one, but maybe when i was 13 in 1977 when i first saw a ad for one. More like 499 smackers. Maybe 599 with the eyepieces.

$180. Don’t know enough about Unitrons to tell if this is a good deal or not but it seems like it may be from what I have gathered on this thread by osmosis. 60mm/900mm with Unihex and wood box. Fair to Good condition with a mark (scratch?) on tube. No pictures of objective.

Looks like a good price
I think I would be all over that Unitron 114
But doing a cost benefit analysis looking at post 170 the 3 inch Mayflower is crying out to us
I'd go with the Mayflower since they both are 180 dollars

I am not interested in purchasing it, just thought I would post it here so others might.

Is this Unitron supposed to have only one focus knob or is one side missing?

She also has the adjustable focus part:

I'm not sure what she's got there but I think it pre-dates Jaegers.
I was interested but now I see there's a bidding war on the lens.

One knob is correct for a 114
The Mayflower is sold and seeing what the Unitron is going for, sadly there's a good chance the next owner will be parting it out.

It's expensive but there are stores that will do this. A UPS store for example will sell you all the materials and pack it for you. Sometimes a GoodWill store that is selling something as pickup only will be willing to use this type of store local to them for shipping an auction item, if you ask them ahead of time.
Beware though that the cost for this can vary hugely. One store wanted to charge a friend $400 for the service and shipping while another in the same area charged $200.00, same service.

It is a one knob deal.

All Alt AZ unitrons except the 4" model had one knob focusers.

It's definitely worth it, but the kiss of sales death can be "local pick-up only."

If it were near me I would buy it just to keep that from happening.

C-8 in Fredericksburg VA for $200 with tripod. Owner is not familiar with telescopes. I could not see a wedge in the picture, though there appears to be a trunk for the scope.

The wedge is in front of the trunk, in two pieces.
