I have what I think is a Unitron "B" Unihex, as it uses all 1.25" eyepieces, it came with one of my scopes. What I don't know is what all the parts are. In the picture, the long tube on the left is what I assume is the standard one. The shorter tube top left hand corner, also screws into the Unihex, but has a lens in the tube. The short piece in the top right corner is threaded inside and out, but none of the threads match anything in the box. Any ideas?

The tube with the lens should be a Barlow.

That is correct.   As for the other part a better picture would help. A very nice looking Unihex model B.

No threads match anything else with the model B. My thread gauge says it is 48 TPI. If I can believe my eyes.

Does not look like any UNitron part I have seen and I have just about seen them all.

The mystery part isn't really meant to be stored in the Unihex box as it can rattle around so probably isn't part of it (same with the Barlow?). Do the threads fit anywhere on the scope? How big were camera threads back in the '60s.

The piece doesn't fit any lens, c-mount, eyepiece filter, or anything astronomy related that I have. I don't know about camera threads, all I've had is Canon and they're not threaded. I plan on making a new box for the Unihex to match the original and make room for the Barlow. Apparently the piece isn't something anybody needs for their Unitron, so I'll put it in my extra parts drawer. Thanks to all for the responses.

48mm sounds familiar from somewhere.  Maybe Zeiss?

Maybe it threads on the kitchen faucet to allow a garden hose to be attached. Very handy for filling your waterbed.

You may find that the clamp functions to make the Unihex work in a Unitron size drawtube as seen in this video: https://youtu.be/supfa82oGzc

The OP is not asking about the clamp Dave. He is wonder what the device is use for in the upper right hand corner of the box.  The round adapter with the threads in post #4.
