I would like to improve my planetary views, and have read about these filters. I know they are primarily for use in refractors, but how do they do in other scopes? Mark

Can I use a Baader Contrast Booster in a Mak or Reflector?

There would be no reason I can think of that it would not work equally well in any telescope design. So refractor, Netwonian, Mak, SCT should not matter at all.

Yeah Bill, that's what I was thinking, but I don't want to buy something I don't/can't use. Mark

I have both the Baader Moon and Skyglow Neodymium and the Baader Contrast Booster. I compared them side by side on Mars this past Fall and also Jupiter and Saturn, in my 6" SCT and 8" SCT. they were similar, and both helped bring out detail on planets but the M&SG was a bit darker. on some nights that was good, on other nights I went with the Contrast Booster. Baader publishes the transmission curves so you can see what you're getting. pick one, either will improve your planetary detail.
