I'm just wondering if there is a way in any of the common apps (either PC or Android) to overly pictures taken from where I setup my tripod? Basically, I'd like to be able to see what I might be able to image from that spot without having powerlines/trees/neighbor's house/etc in the way without having to go out in the cold.

 

Tonight I took the dog out and noticed I could see stars for the first time in what seems like a month, but was watching TV with my wife, so I didn't have time to get everything setup. By the time I got back out there Orion's Belt was nicely tucked behind a telephone pole and the power lines in my back yard. If I could do something like what I described above, I could play time forward in the app and know that if that's what I wanted to capture, I better do it right then.

 

Any thoughts?
