NGC 2276 is a somewhat faint galaxy in Cepheus.
Fairly uniform in terms of brightness, the arms are distinguishable only in photos or CCD shots.

In more detailed images, the asymmetrical, disordered and sprawling structure of the arms made us think in the past that we are facing a cluster instead of a single galaxy. From detailed observations on the motion of the gases of this galaxy it seems that there is a conspicuous interaction with the nearby NGC 2300.

To identify its presence, it should be noted that it is located 2 ', 4 to the NE of the double star SAO 1148 or ADS 5868, whose main component is of magnitude 8.03 and spectral type F8, while the secondary is separated by 0', 7 and it is of magnitude 9.8.

Nearby, at 6 ', 4 towards ESE, is the galaxy NGC 2300.

NGC 2300 is a galaxy visible in the constellation of Cepheus; it has an interesting aspect, characterized by a marked central condensation of about 25 "in diameter. It has a rounded shape that is not entirely regular.
