Meissa, or  ʎ Orionis is a beautiful, bluish close double surrounded by nebulosity, located at the head of Orion.

Ian,

A very fine sketch of the close pair with surrounding nebulosity.

Nicely done.

Frank :)

Beautiful sketch of  gamma orionis, that nebulosity is always a treat to see. This is a sketch project that I'm  currently working on as well, sketching all the stars in each constellation. If only the clouds would go away.....crazyeyes.gif

Not "Gamma", but "Lambda Orionis".

It's strange that no one has corrected it so far. confused1.gif

Are you not going to fix anything?‍

Oh my gosh!  That is one beautiful Sketch!

Regards and clear skies,

Randolph

PS: Interesting that the correct greek letter for lambda is used in the post so that's just what I will look for.  I've not seen this and it ±really looks worth a visit!
