[Poochpa]

I took this in early November 2020. It's been mostly cloudy since on moonless nights!  The image spans from M78 on the far left to the Witchhead Nebula on the right. Comet C/2020 M3 (Atlas) was strolling through Orion at the time. It can be seen in the upper left, adjacent to Eta Orionis.

 

Equipment:

Modified Canon 6DmkII

Rokinon 135mm lens at f/2.8.

Ioptron SkyGuider Pro

 

Subs were 36x90s, ISO 1600.

I think this is the first time I've seen an image of a comet in Orion. That f/2.8 lens really brings out the faint nebulae in very little time.

Really nice! I have the same setup, except for a crop sensor dslr instead of full frame. What did you use for post processing?

So much going on in that region... I really like the wide angle shots of it. You've done a great job pulling out a lot of the details and faint nebulosity. That you captured the comet as well is just icing on the cake. Well done!

Did you have a lot of satellite passes?

 

Every time I pointed towards Orion there were satellites in my image.
