I have a C11, 33lbs if I remember correctly. No longer have the CG-5 that came with it.

Looking for an inexpensive replacement mount and tripod. Will even consider manual controls.

Visual use only, no astrophotography.

Any input appreciated.

AZ Mount Pro.  I use it with my 180mm mak with good results.

What's your budget?  Visual only you could find a CGEM, or even better a Losmandy GM8S.  These both show up used occasionally.

Looking for something well under $1000. Preferably under $500 if they exist. Prefer new but will consider used.

I haver a C11 EdgeHD and at #33, that is not an insubstantial weight. Even though you only want it for visual, GOTO capability will be a requirement the first time you take a manual only mount our to look for fuzzies and have to push the OTA around.

The CGEM should be on your list along with Losmandy GM8. Used mounts would be okay if you can trust the seller.

That's a very severe price point! To find a mount that will adequately hold a C11 even just for visual you're looking at needing a 35 pound payload capacity at a minimum.......  Losmandy GM8 is about as 'small' a mount as will do this... CEM40, Celestron AVX, EQ5 maybe....

you can cruise the CN classifieds and set the sorting to be 'by price'.  Looking under $1000 will be slim pickings...

For visual? C11 and CGEM.

I've seen them for as cheap as 6 to 700 bucks.

The long focal length makes for tough star hopping, so the mount go-to feature is really handy.

I think what you are looking for is something like a non-GOTO G11, CG11, CI-700, or a Cave type mount. Add some DSCs and maybe a bit of other addons and you should be ready to go. You would just need to be patient and look for a deal. Also right at the 1K mark are some used CGEMs, CGEM DXs, and CGEM IIs. Another option would be to look for a fork mount from someone who deforked their C11.

Here is an Atlux at 1100 that would work (no affiliation)
