Why did Sirius disappear from 2 star align on 6se?

Last night my husband and I did the 2 star align on our 6se using Polaris and Sirius. Tonight Sirius didn't show up as an option. We made sure we entered our time, date, GPS coordinates and everything correctly.

Anyone know why Sirius all of a sudden isn't an option?

Once the sign was wrong in the lat long coordinates, and I started being offered stars that were on the other side of the planet.

I'm pretty sure that stars will be picked as to whether they are east or west of the meridian and since Sirius is nearing the meridian it could depend upon when at night you did your alignment.

Hi Faith,

The hand control will only list stars that fall within the current Filter Limits and 15° - 70° altitude, whichever is more restrictive. For example, if your Filter Limits are 20° and 90°, only the stars between 20° and 70° will be listed.
