My Bausch &  Lomb has a XXl engraved on the base bottom. The wood case lacks any markings. Have been unable to determine the model and manufacture date. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Manufacture year 1921??   Or the XXI may have been a way of identifying the microscope for inventory? ie Microscope #21?  Cool looking microscope.
