Another post on CN made me remember this little item.

An old roll of movie copy film that I have from the pre Apollo era.

It contains a copy of a lunar survey from back in the day.

Now I will have to work out a way to scan it.

What format is it? It looks like some oddball large format. You could send it out to get digitized but I would wonder if the average service could digitize that size.

Flatbed scanner/copiers can scan at custom dimensions so, you could scan strips of the film and then stich them together digitally into a movie; A bit of a project. Resolution maybe an issue. I tried scanning a film strip with my old HP copier/scanner and the rez was not that great. I imagine a high rez unit could be pricey.

Do you have a projector for this film?

It would be nice at least to see some stills of this film.

A fast way would be to scan on a lightbox with a DSLR.

This is 2.75" format, so it is going to take a bit of time to get / make a way to scan it.
