Ole BB's MOD to a Vixen 1.25" 4-SLOT SCT Turret:

I ditched the SCT ring.  Then, I tapped & threaded 3 x 10-32 holes at ~ 120* intervals in the collar.  Now, I can slide this collar over ANY of the Vixen 36mm to 1.25" adapters on my old scopes (after removing the thumbscrew), and lock it flush against it.  And, I can loosen the thumbscrews, and position the eyepiece at the most comfortable angle...  I couldn't do this by threading the Turret into the focuser flange...

It also cured another annoyance:  That .965" Turret that fit directly INTO the focuser adapter would rotate when changing eyepieces -- unless I over-torqued that thumbscrew!

[I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of my Tap & Die Sets.  Bought the first small one during the Mogey 3 restore, and the larger when I figured out I needed to replace some of the Tinsley's old corroded brass screws.]
